Father of mercies and God of all comfort,

May I find my peace in You, O Lord, so that I may extend that peace to others. May I find my consolation in You, that I may console others. May I find my joy in You, that I may help others find joy.

Forgive me, O Lord, for my focus on self. Take away from me the desire to defend my rights. Help me to seek the good of all people, not merely those like me.

Let me be Yours today and always.
