Father’s Day is strange without my dad. A lot of you have experienced this many times, so I’m certainly not looking for pity. I just get a funny feeling as I’m bombarded with commercials saying: “Don’t forget Dad” or “Get Dad what he wants this year.” I know there will be many times like that, lots of moments when his absence will be at the front of our minds.
On Facebook, lots of people are changing their profile photo to one of their dad. I decided to use this photo instead. I don’t remember having seen it until we were gathering photos to use at Daddy’s funeral. One of Daddy’s friends took this picture, and they decided to include me. Obviously I wasn’t thrilled about the whole experience. I think its cute.
Anyway, that’s where my thoughts are on a Friday in June. Have a good weekend!

Yep, my dad has been gone quite awhile now but I think of him everyday. He was a tough SOB but had a soft heart. He taught me how to play baseball and golf and respect others and work hard and everything will take care of itself………and it has….Thanks dad
