HopeForLife.org video testimonial: Tammy Marcelain

Along with our website revamp, Herald of Truth has produced a number of new videos. These are available on www.hopeforlife.org, but we are also releasing them on video sites like YouTube.com. Here’s the first testimonial that we’ve posted there:

You can help us get the word out about these videos. Go to where this video is on YouTube.com (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5nGNsiZiqfs) and leave a comment and/or rating there. And tell others about these videos. The story of how God has changed someone’s life is a powerful thing.

(Edit, 8:48 a.m. — I was remiss in not mentioning the WONDERFUL job that Tim Frakes did in filming these videos. An outstanding artist with a heart for Jesus)

Tim as I said on another blog this is a sensitive subject, It is hard to tell a mother such as the one featured here, that God did not intervene directly, if people believed, truly believed that God would directly grant a miracle , there would be no doctor or medicine sought, or involved.
There is no biblical example of a miracle of healing, or any other taking time to come into effect . Doctors and medicine do perform what we call “Modern Day Miracles” . There is no doubt that God did give the gift, of intelligence, to those who discovered what would help to heal. and those who administer it , and placed the material on earth to use for a (MDM).
No I can’t see a God who would say, yes I will intervene personally, but it will take eleven months of suffering on the part of the son and the parents before I do so. Give thanks to God for the Doctors who work hard for years to become the hand of God, and the scientist who hunt out and produce the medicine, these doctors use. My wife used to pray that God would help the pilot of the airplane every time we started a flight. I ask her one time why she didn’t just ask God to transport us to our destination, he could you know, if he wanted to. she said don’t be silly . That’s what I say about biblical type miracles, don’t be silly. If God is going to answer prayer, one time of asking is enough, it shouldn’t take eleven months of prayer for the same thing. I believe the bible says something to this affect. Yes God is the granter of (Modern Day Miracles) but indirectly.

To be honest, I don’t know that Tammy is referring to an instantaneous healing or anything of the sort.

As for persistent prayer, well, doesn’t that seem to be the point of the parable of the widow and the judge?

    Grace and peace,
    Tim Archer
