Loving Our Neighbors: Evangelicals, Immigration, and The Immigration Alliance

To ameliorate this, the government created a paralegal category called “partial accreditation.” This partial accreditation allows for people who get some training and experience to work at a site recognized by the government such as the above mentioned social service organizations.
When I heard about this exception I asked if churches could become approved as sites to give legal services. The answer was a very qualified, “Yes.” BOOM! In result, Immigrant Hope was formed and partnered with World Relief to multiply the training, develop systems and encourage churches to provide legal services. Think about all the churches in neighborhoods where immigrants live. They already offer services such as English as a Second Language training, food banks, and other forms of service. Churches offer almost everything but what the immigrant wants more than anything: trustworthy, affordable legal services.

Keeping the baby vs. abortion: Americans muddled morality about the unborn

And so, as technology advances, our society is put in the increasingly uncomfortable position of both affirming and denying the humanity of the unborn. For now, however, our muddled inconsistency will deny justice to Michelle Wilkins, and no one will be charged in the death of the baby she lost.

New Research: Americans Believe Church is Good but Dying

Confirming McConnell’s assertion that Americans’ churchgoing is at odds with their behavior, even on Easter, traditionally the best-attended Sunday of the year, large segments of the population say they don’t plan to attend, previous LifeWay research has found.
And despite their professed fondness for church, Americans are more likely to believe attendance is declining (55 percent) or dying (42 percent) than growing (36 percent) or thriving (38 percent).

Leonard Ravenhill’s Son Has an Idea for How Creflo Dollar Can Get a $65M Private Jet

The solution to his problem is simple. I can’t believe he hasn’t thought of it himself. He just needs to practice what he preaches. Since he is a staunch advocate of the seed faith message, all he needs to do is enclose a check for thirty dollars in his next mailing to each of his seed-faith partners; then stand back and watch as the money begins pouring in. After all, as the saying goes, ‘What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.’ If this is a spiritual principle that works for everyone, then why doesn’t he practice what he repeatedly tells his faithful flock every week? With only a 10-fold increase he would receive $300 for every $30 he sows. That being the case, why not enclose $300 to every partner and do away with the little jet in favor of the Boeing of his choice?

The Real Reason College Tuition Costs So Much

By contrast, a major factor driving increasing costs is the constant expansion of university administration. According to the Department of Education data, administrative positions at colleges and universities grew by 60 percent between 1993 and 2009, which Bloomberg reported was 10 times the rate of growth of tenured faculty positions.
Even more strikingly, an analysis by a professor at California Polytechnic University, Pomona, found that, while the total number of full-time faculty members in the C.S.U. system grew from 11,614 to 12,019 between 1975 and 2008, the total number of administrators grew from 3,800 to 12,183 — a 221 percent increase.
