This B&B Friday will be dedicated to blogs, somewhat, though not in a review. To cap off the series on alcohol and the Christian, I wanted to offer some links for those interested in reading more.
- With Wikipedia it can be hit and miss, but the article on “Christianity and alcohol” is thorough and includes plenty of additional links.
- An interesting “secular” article is “National Prohibition of Alcohol in the U.S.” by David J. Hanson
- Joe Palmer, who has commented frequently during this series, did a series concerning alcohol on his blog, beginning with this post: The Sin Of Drunkenness. His approach to Scripture and to this topic are different than mine and provides a good counterpoint to my series.
- Al Maxey wrote a study on this subject called “Christians Drinking Wine“
- Bob Hayton did a post called “Will You Have Wine?” which contains quite a number of links to other good articles. Bob has a number of interesting articles about alcohol on his site, including “Wine To Gladden The Hearts of Men” and “Isaiah 16:10 and the Two Wine Theory“
- Finally, I’d recommend Wade Cox’s article on “Wine in the Bible“
